MobFolio is a portfolio manager for mobile phones that allows you to download free financial quotes right from your mobile phone. With MobFolio you can check the updated quotes of your favorite stocks anytime you want and wherever you are.

How it works:

MobFolio is a quote management tool for mobile devices that provide financial quotes from all major stock exchanges.

Basically with MobFolio you can organize your favorite quotes in groups of tickers well known as watchlists or portfolios. By watchlist (or portfolio) we mean a list of quotes that can be shown on a single page of the mobile screen.

In MobFolio several market data are collected along with the financial quotes. The downloaded quotes and all related data are presented to the user through the quote table. This is a scrollable table that allows to move over the table cells by using the cursor keys of your device. The quote table can show a large amount of data adapting itself to a wide range of mobile displays, from tiny cell phones to large smartphones and PDAs.
For any quote in the table a lot of useful information are displayed: the quote symbol, the last price, the percent price change, the exchanged volume, date and time, maximum and minimum price for the day, the opening price, the daily gain, the overall gain along with percent value, the current value of your holdings and the related purchased value.

The watchlists and the portfolios are shown in the portfolio bar on top of the quote table. The portfolio bar is a simple textual bar that can be scrolled just as the quote table. To switch to any watchlist move the cursor over the bar and click on the selected watchlist.

MobFolio is provided with an easy to use portfolio manager to create, modify, delete or move all of your watchlists. You can organize your watchlists with any criteria you want.
Just for example, MobFolio came with a number of default watchlists that cover some of the major financial markets. These watchlists include some well known Wall Street stocks, several stocks from the London Stock Exchange, a little selection of European stocks, the US dollar currency exchanges and, of course, the main global market indices.
You can enter tickers of stocks, ETFs, indices, funds, futures and more. All major world markets are supported.

To create or modify your own watchlists select the New or the Modify command in the portfolio manager. A simple watchlist editor will guide you through the process of entering the data about your watchlist. This editor is designed as a two page form and is provided with Next and Previous commands to move along the editor pages.
In the first page enter the name of the watchlist, the base currency and the quote symbols separated by spaces.
If you want to specify more details of your quotes go on to the second page where you can add the number of shares, the price paid and the commissions. In this case your watchlist is treated as a full featured portfolio so when you update the quotes all gains with totals and subtotals will be calculated.

You can create as many watchlists as you want or modify the exiting ones at any time. You can also change the order of the watchlists by the Move command.

To perform a quote update on a watchlist select the Refresh command or click on a watchlist in the portfolio bar. MobFolio will start the download process and in a few moments all the quotes will be updated. Please note that if your device is not already connected, a new connection will be activated in order to start the update process.

During the update process a little colored indicator will appear on the top right corner of the screen. A flashing yellow indicator means that MobFolio is gathering or waiting for market data. If the update succeed the indicator turn green while if an error is detected it turn red.

In MobFolio the process of updating an entire watchlist is performed in a single step. The benefit of this solution is that a minimum amount of data will be exchanged giving you fast results with minimum connection cost. People that don't have flat data plans on their mobile device will appreciated this, because internet connection will be activated only when needed, so you haven't to stay always online.
