Nokia Software

I have a N95 with a 5 Mpix camera. The picture quality is tragic bad, compared with my old 3 Mpix canon camera. The reason is neither the optics nor the amount of pixels. There are two main reasons. The first is that the light sensibility is bad. The second and the worst is that the software compresses the file size too much, so the quality is destroyed. A 5 Mpix picture in N95 is compressed to less than 1 MB. The quality would be much better if the resolution have been lower, but the compression have not been so high.

I am looking for some software that can save the pictures with much lower compression. A 1024x786 pix picture is more than good enough if it is not compressed so much. I have tried Photorite and Almalence PhotoAcute, but none of these software can do what I want.

If someone know about software that can control the N95 camera, like I want, I will appreciate some advices
