Second generation N-Gage New N-Gage platform is a part of Nokia's Ovi initiative. The second generation N-Gage capabilities are built into several Nokia Smartphones. The new N-Gage platform is not backward compatible with first generation MMC games. Similarly, the next generation N-Gage experience is not compatible with the original N-Gage game deck or N-Gage QD devices. However some games are making a comeback in form of a sequel (e.g. System Rush: Evolution, Asphalt 3: Street Rules, FIFA 08, One: Who's Next, WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2008 (by THQ Wireless - continue sequel from WWE Aftershock) Or Snakes Subsonic) or a remake/port (e.g. Mile High Pinball). N-Gage in its new form is an application that is either downloaded to or already present in a supported device. This application functions as the central hub for all N-Gage related functionalities - the user has an overview of his/her currently owned games, friends list, profile details and has the ability to download and try demo versions of games that have not yet been purchased. N-Gage games, when purchased, are tied to user's account and can be re downloaded at any time if accidentally deleted. Users can store his/her games either in an N-Gage compatible device or any other storage media like USB flash drives or computer HDD's. This system has many similarities with the already existing Xbox LIVE. Currently announced devices that will support N-Gage when released: Nokia N73, Nokia N81, Nokia N81 8GB, Nokia N93, Nokia N93i, Nokia N95, And Nokia N95 8GB. Nokia will continue to announce N-Gage compatibility with a wide range of S60 Nokia devices on an ongoing basis.

One: Who's Next ?

One is an N-Gage exclusive series of 3D Jeet Kune Do fighting games, featuring motion captured moves from real-life martial arts champion Tommy Carruthers. One for Next Gen N-Gage (also known as One : Who's Next) will make use of 3D graphics hardware on Next Gen phones which have it. In 2004, ONE set the standard for graphics performance in mobile games. Developed by Digital Legends Entertainment, ONE now brings the global fighting community and Nokia Nseries multimedia computers together. The sequel shown at E3 2006 features more advanced graphics, including real-time reflections, light glow and game play at 30 frames per second. Controls and playability are also pushing the boundaries, including adaptable controls and all new scenarios, some designed for landscape mode gaming. The graphics are best appreciated live at the Nokia N-Gage stand, booth #900 in the South Hall. The sequel to the N-Gage game One, this was used by Nokia to demonstrate the graphical abilities of Next Gen games at the E3 2006 games expo. It was running on an N93, more evidence that both 3D chips and the N93 itself will be part of the Next Gen platform.
In case you don't know, One is a 3D martial arts simulator which features motion captured moves taken from a genuine champion, Tommy Carruthers. The demonstration version at E3 also featured a landscape as well as portrait mode for the game, so phones with horizontal screens may form a part of Next Gen as well.

The technological jump from the previous game is massive. The update done in the motor engine has improved vastly the graphics and animation. What strikes the most is the real physics involved in the moving hair and clothes.
This game isn't only exclusive for 3D accelerated graphics like the N93 or N95. The devices without this hardware can still play this game with a render software with an exceptional performance.
People thought that "One" controls where hard to come by. So we have reworked them in this sequel, and we are content with the results. It is easier to control and pull of combos, plus we have reduced the number of buttons to press so the action is more fluid.
Another striking feature is the variety in the players avatar. In the previous game we only had male or female. This sequel has more possibilities. Although we only have 6 stages in the release version, we can expand these with a modular design Nokia's new platform is telling us to use.
Multiplayer is still limited to bluetooth due to technical difficulties. Either way the characteristics of the new platform will give a new dimension to the experience. When a player connects to the Arena his ranking will update automatically and will be available for all to see.

System Rush Evolution

System Rush Evolution is a futuristic racing / arcade game set in cyberspace, where you have to pilot a craft through a 3D world within a computer network. SRE is the sequel to the acclaimed System Rush on the original N-Gage.
Folowing from the massive repercussions from the "Kenjou" system hack in the original System Rush, the player is now in an authoritarian planet-wide "lock down".
The player resorts to a new form of experimental technology to shatter the 10 newly installed network "firewalls" and prove to the corrupt governments that the flow of information will never be halted.
The user is 'hardwired' into the system, effectively becoming a part of the network . Although advantageous, it has one very serious downside; the user cannot remove themselves from the network if a hack goes awry.
