hey guys,i cant seem to take a backup of my messages and contacts from my phone. I have an N82,and i have tried backing up using Pc suite, but it isnt workin'.I dont no wats wrong.Help plz. thanks

Whats d error message u getting..?
Normally after connecting the phone, you can use the backup option on pc suite.

NOTE:
The contacts stored on the SIM card are not backed up. If you want the contacts on the SIM card to be included in a backup, copy the contacts from the SIM card to the phone's memory.

or go to the my computer->nokia phone browser and there u find contacts and messages folder. Enter and copy to ur computer. Its more easy ryt!...

Also ensure that no protection (security) is enabled for your phone memory.

thanks mate.i have tried ur method but i cannot see any contacts when i browse it in pc but through fone i can.
i dont get any error messages during the backup process. after it is done the summary report shows dat contacts was not coppyd.

Take contacts to sim to keep them in a safe place and backup the msgs using best msg. storer 4m Smartphoneware.
