Nokia Software

I have a Nokia n95 8GB (UK) with v 15.0.0.15 firmware.

Since yesterday I was unable to send any new text messages, completely fine composing new messages but when I go to select a contact I am only able to mark the tick box next to a contact, there is no possible way of saying 'OK' as the option is missing.

I then tried to compose an E-Mail and I was told my default mailbox was not set, so I went to set my already configured GMail account to default. After doing what I thought was setting the default mailbox, I then returned to my SMS inbox and I find all of my messages have been deleted, the same with sent and drafts. I then look back at my main messaging menu, and I have the 'changeme' mailbox - as if the messaging menus have been set to factory default.

What the hell has just happened? Am I able to fix this problem without having to wipe my handset or reinstall firmware?

This is my second 8GB, my previous one had a dud camera and earpiece, I'm not having too much luck - and I go on holiday on this Sunday coming

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
