i have a n-gage qd with a nokia 6600 memory card in it but when i formated it it now has a password lock is it a factory password if so can u tell me it

HEY FRIENDS
mmc password block is a serious problem and difficult to remove that password
once u forgot the password.
BUT the solution is simple
* Firstly, you need to install FExplorer, a free file manager that allows us to browser through S60 file system.
* Next, launch FExplorer and then browser to c:\system folder. There is a file, called mmcstore.
* Rename the file to mmcstore.txt and then open it. Your password must be several characters at the end of the file.
if it showed in block dont worry just copy in mmc or just transfer to ur pc and in notepad the password is revealed.

can't it be done with s40v3 phones? I've seen only s60 and other symbian softwares, but I need for s40. Please help someone, I'll owe you my life!

hey did u format the memory card in ur PC or in ur phone?

If you formatted it in ur PC, it may be the cause of the lock as windows used a different file system than symbian phones.

Format ur memory card in your phone. that will remove the lock. Btw the default factory password in s60 phones is 12345.
