Chinese Man Killed by Exploding Cellular-The dangerous side of mobile phones
 A man has been reported dead after his mobile phone exploded and caused him serious injuries. The victim is a Chinese man who was simply carrying his handset in the chest pocket. The man owned a Motorola phone model, although the mobile phone company expressed disbelief that it was actually one of their products. Moreover, they stated that it must have actually been a fake phone or a battery simply branded Motorola. At the moment when the mobile phone exploded, the man immediately collapsed. People nearby tried to offer him emergency first aid, but that was useless. The man has been taken to a hospital nearby, but eventually died because of the injuries. Doctors declared that the man came to them with broken ribs which have pierced his heart as a result of the explosion. Motorola is placed in a seriously delicate situation, as their mobile phones might be considered to be unsafe from now on. Still, they seem to have enough confidence in their products as to dismiss any accusations and find other causes for the explosion. "We are aware of an accident that occurred in Gansu at a welding operation. Up to now, preliminary evidence suggests it is highly unlikely that a cell phone caused this accident. We are working with the Chinese authorities to determine and investigate the root cause", said Motorola's Beijing press officer Yang Boning. Batteries are known to be potentially explosive if not handled properly. When exposed for a very long period of time to high temperatures, the chance of this happening considerably increases. The fact that the accident has taken place during a welding operation is one more reason to think that this is the cause for what actually happened in this situation. Chinese authorities are currently making investigations in order to determine the exact root cause for this incident.
