So on a hunch i tried uinstalling Kaspersky Internet Security 7 ..and bam ..everythin starts workin... IE 7, msn messenger..outlook..everythin..

So I'm guessing it was a KIS 7 thingy and m not going to install it again.... however now I'm using a trial version of KIS 2009... do u recommend that or McAfee Total Security 2008..

AS FAR AS MY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE GOES YOU SHOULD USE NIS (NORTON INTERNET SECURITY ) 2008.

THOUGH IT MAKES THE SYSTEM A BIT SLOW TO BOOT(BUT IT WONT AFFECT UNTIL U HAVE A REALLY OLD SYSTEM)

TRY IT ONCE THERE, IT CAN PROTECT U FROM ALL PROBS SEAMLESSLY. BELIEVE ME.
